Galaxy 4 Peace is looking for two talented, hard working, gifted and creative undergraduate or graduate to serve as Social Media Manager. The candidate would help the organization expand its current brand and spread its voice and as such an interest and skills in social media would be required.
This is an unpaid position and you will be reporting to and working closely with our communications coordinator.
Your role in this position would vary from creating and posting contents on G4P social media pages such as facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest and Google+.
In addition, you will be putting up post blog posts.
Required Skills and Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curate relevant content to with focus on Galaxy 4 Peace vision.
- Willingness to meet objectives, exceed them and grow professionally, without the need for a lot of supervision.
- Develop and expand G4P community (Number of followers on twitter/instagram and likes on facebok) members.
- Ability to use powerpoint, and microsoft office
- Knowledge of graphics design, photoshop but not a pre-requisite
- Social Media skills
- Excellent communicator and understanding of social media advocacy tool for peacebuilding.
- Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
