18-Year-Old Sara Blair Becomes America's Youngest Lawmaker

At age 18, Blair is youngest state lawmaker in America after  her victory over her Democratic opponent for a seat in West Virginia's House of Delegates.
Sara Blair, who is a West Virginia University freshman, said she would take off spring semester to attend the legislature’s 60-day session in Charleston.
She'll be deciding on measures from a fiscally conservative perspective with hopes of reducing taxes for businesses.
She reportedly contributed $4,000 to her own campaign to let voters knew she was serious.
She later took to Facebook to express her gratitude, saying that "my generation’s voice, fresh perspective and innovative ideas can help solve some of our state’s most challenging issues."
Her father, Craig Blair, is currently a state senator in the United States.
