#TEDxBodija: IDEAS HIDDEN FROM SIGHT.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.

Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

One of such events is the TEDx Bodija, coming up on the 18^th October, with the theme:

                                               IDEAS HIDDEN FROM SIGHT.

 According to TED, No matter how developed the world is, a community’s development will not depends on the global trend but on the exposure of the community members to global ideas.

Speakers are: 

  Ohimai Amaize; An ambassador for Microsoft Internet Safety, Security and Privacy Initiative for Nigeria

Tolulope Moody; Lead Pastor of Sycamore Church, Ibadan and as the Director of The Sycamore Leadership Initiative, Ibadan. He has had working experience in both Governmental and Non-Governmental settings, as well as with start-ups.

Bryce Edem: the C.E.O of WizardsWithWords - an integrated company which provides bespoke written communication solutions to individuals, institutions & businesses.

Jide Adeyemi; Chief Strategist of Sagacious Consulting.

Ololade Otayemi; The first Nigerian to create sound operated bulbs and street light automated switching system.

Remilekun Safaru; A Nigerian singer, rapper, and song writer.
