Diamond Platnumz has won the titled of 'Best African Act' for the 2015 MTV EMAs. The Tanzania star was up against Nigeria’s Davido and Yemi Alade, as well as South African rapper AKA and Ivorian performer DJ Arafat for the title of best act on the continent.
The race for Diamond Platnumz at the EMAs doesn’t stop here. The singer
will now go head to head with the best act from India. The two acts are
up for the Best Africa/India Act award.
British singer Ed Sheeran and Australian actress/model Ruby Rose will be hosting this year’s awards ceremony at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan. The upcoming ceremony will see performances from Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran & Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and several other stars.
This year’s awards will be broadcast live on Sunday 25 October at 8PM.

Yinka Ayefele signed his brother on his new record label.
Popular gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele, has officially launched his own record label which he calls Ayefele Records.
The
popular musician, who has waxed over 20 albums in a career spanning 2
decades, made this disclosure in a statement which reads: "Today, we
are witnessing history. Ayefele Records has been given birth to and it
has come to change the face of entertainment in Nigeria."
While
announcing the establishment of the label, Ayefele, who is currently on
tour of South Africa with his band, revealed the decision of the
company to sign his younger brother, Laolu Ayefele popularly known as
L.A Flexy, a London-based artiste/broadcaster.
According
to him, more artistes with vision will be signed on the label before
the year runs out as well. It will be recalled that the label’s flagship
act, LA Flexy released his first single with a video titled ‘Your Logo’
some months ago.

Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2015
Premiere fashion event which brings together media, industry, buyers and consumers to view the current collections of designers in Nigeria, Lagos Fashion and Design Week; held a cocktail party at the Heineken house, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Young designers who made to it the finals of LFDW creative workshops and mentorship capacity building program tagged Fashion Focus were unveiled at the event.
The Fashion Focus initiative is aimed at promoting growth and creativity in the industry. An integral part of the platform in partnership with Heineken and the British Council, rewarding present opportunities for emerging talents to harness their skills and ensure they sustain a global presence to a wider audience.

Burna Boy to release sophomore album "On A Spaceship", November 2015
Burna Boy has announced the title and release date of his next album.
The Dancehall artiste took to Twitter to announce the title and release date for his sophomore album tentatively titled “On A Spaceship.”
The album will be his second project after his acclaimed debut album "L.I.F.E", which was released under his previous record label Aristokrat Records.
Burna Boy is currently enjoying the success of singles like ‘Rockstar’, ‘Check and Balance’, ‘Soke’ and ‘Follow me’ which were released off the album

He will be producing a big screen version of a yet-to-be released book dubbed 'the Too Big To Fail of the auto industry' for Paramount.
Paramount snapped up the film rights to the work by author Jack Ewing
that will document how the German car company got away for years with
what is regarded by The Hollywood Reporter as 'one of the greatest
frauds in corporate history.'
DiCaprio, 40, will produce the film through his Appian Way production company and it's not yet known whether he intends to star in it.
The actor has produced two of his recent box office appearances, including The Wolf Of Wall Street and the upcoming The Revenant.
Dell: PC maker buys EMC in largest deal in tech history for $67B
Dell Inc. has acquired Data storage company, EMC Corp., at the steep price of $67 billion, taking its place as he largest tech deal in history, Dell and partners MSD Partners and Silver Lake agreed to buy EMC today for $67 billion or $33.15 a share.
Even better, is the fact that Dell with a valuation of around $25 billion was by far the smaller fish at approximately half the size of EMC.
The two combined companies will make the Dell and EMC
the world’s largest privately controlled, integrated technology
company, according to a statement released by EMC.
The
biggest part of EMC by far is VMware, which was included in the deal
and will continue to be a separately publicly traded company.
EMC will now go private and become part of Dell ending the company’s long history as a publicly traded company.

stalking him and he can’t figure out why he is being followed.This is not the first time XtraLarge has accosted an on air personality. In the first episode of the show, talent pretends to be a traffic officer and creates a bogus checkpoint just so he can talk to on air personality Lolo 1.
